Planting Tips:
Sow Sugar Pie Pumpkin seeds directly outdoors after all danger of frost has passed and the soil has warmed. Pumpkins prefer fertile, well-drained soil and a location receiving full sun.

Plant seeds about 1 inch deep and provide plenty of room for the vigorous vines to spread. Keep the soil consistently moist, especially while plants are flowering and developing fruit. Water near the base of the plants when possible.

Harvest Sugar Pie pumpkins when they have developed their mature deep orange color, the rind is hard and cannot easily be punctured with a fingernail, and the stem begins to dry. Cut the pumpkin from the vine while leaving several inches of stem attached.
