HEIRLOOM. Pisum sativum. An old time English pea introduced in 1908 and is also called Homesteader Pea. Lincoln Pea is a high yielding variety that grows up to 30 inches tall and 5 inches across producing 3 1/2 inches long pods with 8 to 10 small tender peas. Also called Homesteader Peas, these are resistant to common wilt and heat tolerant. Variety is well-suited to a warm climate and produces peas well into the hotter June and July weather. Lincoln Pea is excellent as canned or frozen. Ready to harvest in 65 days.
