🌱Growing Information

How to Grow Early White Grano PRR Onion from Seed

Planting Depth: ¼ inch
Seed Spacing: 2–3 inches
Row Spacing: 12–18 inches
Germination Time: 7–14 days

Planting Tips:
Start seeds indoors 8–10 weeks before the last frost, or direct sow outdoors as soon as the soil can be worked. Plant in loose, fertile, well-drained soil and keep evenly moist during germination and bulb development. Thin seedlings to allow enough room for bulbs to size up.

Early White Grano PRR is a short-day onion best suited for southern growing regions, where it begins forming bulbs as day length increases. Gardeners in northern regions can also grow this variety, although it may produce smaller bulbs. Harvest when the tops begin to yellow, bend, and fall over.

🌱 Excellent for fresh eating, slicing, salads, cooking, green onions, raised beds, and container gardens.
