Plectranthus scutellarioides. Coleus Rainbow Mix is a colorful foliage plant grown for its vibrant leaves in a beautiful assortment of red, pink, burgundy, yellow, green, bronze, and multicolored patterns. Each plant can develop its own combination of colors and markings, creating an eye-catching display throughout the growing season.

Rainbow Mix Coleus is an excellent choice for containers, patio planters, borders, flower beds, and shaded garden areas. The colorful foliage provides season-long interest from spring until frost and is especially useful for adding bright color to areas where many flowering plants receive too little sun.

Because this is a mixed packet of Coleus seeds, individual colors and patterns are not separated or individually labeled. The assortment and proportion of colors can vary from packet to packet.

🌱 Growing Information

How to Grow Coleus Rainbow Mix from Seed

Planting Depth: Surface sow or lightly press into soil
Plant Spacing: 10–12 inches
Row Spacing: 12–18 inches
Germination Time: 10–21 days
Days to Maturity: 70–90 days
Sun Requirements: Partial Shade to Shade

Planting Tips:
Start Coleus Rainbow Mix seeds indoors 8–10 weeks before your last expected frost. Surface sow or lightly press the tiny seeds into the soil rather than covering them deeply. Keep the soil evenly moist and warm until seedlings emerge.

Transplant outdoors after danger of frost has passed. Pinch growing tips to encourage fuller, bushier plants. Flower spikes may be removed if desired to keep the focus on colorful foliage.

🌿 Colorful Shade Plant: Coleus Rainbow Mix provides an assortment of colorful foliage for containers, borders, flower beds, patios, and shaded garden spaces.
