Borago officinalis. Borage is a fast-growing annual herb and flowering plant known for its striking blue, star-shaped flowers and fuzzy green foliage. The bright blooms are highly attractive to bees and other beneficial pollinators, making borage a beautiful addition to herb gardens, vegetable gardens, pollinator gardens, and flower beds.
Borage develops into a vigorous, branching plant that produces numerous blue flowers throughout the growing season. Its unusual star-shaped blooms add both color and texture to the garden and pair especially well with other herbs, vegetables, and pollinator-friendly flowers.
Borage readily self-seeds when mature flowers are allowed to produce seed, so new plants may appear in the garden in following seasons.

So blue and edible too
I love the flowers on this herb, and although it can seed itself, it stopped growing in my garden. I have been looking for seeds for a couple of years, so I am very excited to find them here. Now that I have a source for the seeds I will return here if borage stops seeding itself going forward.
