Bells of Ireland

Packet size: 20 seeds

Moluccella laevis. Bells of Ireland is a unique annual flower known for its tall stems covered with bright apple-green, bell-shaped calyces. The unusual green color adds height, texture, and contrast to flower beds and makes Bells of Ireland a beautiful addition to cottage gardens, pollinator gardens, and cut flower gardens.

A longtime favorite for floral design, Bells of Ireland produces tall, sturdy stems that are excellent for fresh-cut bouquets. The green bells complement nearly any flower color and make attractive filler or accent stems in arrangements. The stems can also be dried for wreaths, crafts, and long-lasting dried flower arrangements.

Plants can reach approximately 2–3 feet tall when mature. Bells of Ireland grows best during the cooler part of the growing season and prefers full sun and fertile, well-drained soil.
